Information and Media

The information and media undergraduate major prepares students for work in a variety of creative information design and management roles. Students will develop an understanding of the interrelationships between people, information and communication technologies as well as practical skills in areas such as web design and architecture, media research and in writing information and media content for diverse audiences.

Over 25 years our academic staff have built strong bonds with industry and government, designing the course to keep pace with changing needs and providing a balance of theory and practice. The high quality of our courses will appeal to people who are currently working in the field or to people starting out their careers. Information is at the heart of everything we do in the 21st century.

UTS: Communication offers outstanding information and media graduates from any university the opportunity to pursue advanced work in the area by completing a separate one-year, full-time honours course.
