Jumbunna Orientation Sessions
15 February 2012
Jumbunna is running some orientation sessions for new students designed to get you ready for the coming year. The first session is on Monday 20 February where you will meet our Education Allies, who will help you find your way to faculty welcomes.
Yana Muru Pathway Program Final round - 23-25 January

If you didn't get offered the course of your choice in the main round or if you have not yet completed a UAC application Jumbunna IHL is conducting the final round of the Yana Muru Pathway Program in late January.

UTS Info Day is your last chance to get UTS course information for 2012, come speak to students and academics about your choices and options. Jumbunna will have Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff on hand to answer questions and provide advice about pathways.

Ryan Stoker is a quite achiever, and he has to be in his line of work. Ryan is currently studying in the Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Information and Media). He hopes one day to become a librarian.
Hannah Tracey started to think seriously about her options

Hannah says, "I wasn't 100 percent sure of what I wanted to do at the time when I was applying for universities so I explored all my options and that's when I discovered Jumbunna and the wonderful opportunity it provided for Indigenous students to gain special entry into a course.

Daniel Conifer in his first year at UTS

Aside from playing sport, hosting a program on Koori Radio every Saturday, is also studying full time in his first year of a combined degree of Bachelor of Communications Journalism and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME)

AIME partners UTS students one-on-one with Indigenous high school students from the local area in a university-based interactive mentoring program. Put simply, university student Mentors commit only 1hr per week over 17 weeks, that’s only 17 hours in the year, as volunteer AIME Mentors.
