Scholarships
UTS offers the following 12 scholarships to undergraduate, current students who are considering studying overseas.
Aalborg University provides Travel Grants to support UTS students studying on exchange. Students must be selected to participate in the Global Exchange Program studying at Aalborg University. Scholarships will be awarded to the student/s with the highest average mark for their current UTS degree.
Scholarships provide financial support. There are two scholarship available in Autumn 2011.
Aarhus University provides travel grants to support UTS students studying on exchange at both Aarhus University and at Aarhus School of Business. Successful students will be reimbursed up to the value of 1000 euro for their travel costs upon arrival up to the value of the scholarship.
1,000 euro reimbursed for travel costs (receipts required).
A joint initiative developed in response to Australia's growing economic, cultural and political relationship with China. The scholarship is designed for students who have a long term passion for strengthening this relationship through their business or cultural pursuits.
This scholarship offers a valuable work placement in China for a minimum of 9 months with the possibility of staying on longer.
The Australia-Korea Foundation was established to increase Australia's capacity to engage with Korea and to strengthen Australia-Korea relations through people-to-people and institutional linkages.
The value of individual scholarships generally range between $3,000 to $10,000.
UTS International recognises the importance of international experience on a student's development and established the BUiLD Travel Grant to make overseas travel more accessible. UTS International is committed in supporting BUiLD students participating in approved international activities including; study tours, internships, experiential programs, volunteering, research and conferences.
These grants are valued at up to $2,000
UTS Business School recognises the importance of international exchange in a student's academic life. The Business School is committed in supporting students who wish to go on exchange in order to gain an international perspective on global business methods and practices.
Twenty grants are awarded per year, ten per semester. Each Grant is tenable for one semester, to the value of $500 and cannot be deferred or transferred to another semester.
The Fachhochschule Hannover provides scholarships to support UTS students studying on exchange.
Each scholarship is worth 300 Euros per month. 4 scholarships are available each semester.
The Fachhochschule Vorarlberg Accommodation Scholarship is awarded to the student/s studying with the highest average mark in their current UTS degree.
The Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences provides scholarships to support UTS students studying on exchange.
Three scholarships are available for UTS Spring 2011 and two are for UTS Autumn 2012.
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology understands that students today face a working environment that assumes global mobility in the labour market. They are committed to encouraging and supporting students who wish to gain a greater understanding of the international aspects of modern engineering and IT practice.
This grant of $1,500 is offered to one outgoing exchange student each semester.
Every semester UTS International provides scholarships to assist students with the costs associated with going on exchange. Applications for the Global Exchange Scholarships are competitive and will be awarded on the basis of merit.
This program offers a one off payment for students studying on exchange. The value of payments is determined by destination.
These scholarships provide funding of up to $5,000 to subsidise the cost of student exchange.
The Prime Minister's Asia Awards aim to provide scholarships for the best and brightest university students from Australia and Asia.
The aim of these awards is to build the relationship between Australia and Asia by:
- developing internationally aware, skilled future leaders
- building human capital within organisations and contributing to productivity gains and innovations
- establishing enduring education and professional linkages
Undergraduate awards are valued at up to A$53,500.
